Boomers Trail Masters Hike (09/29/2026)

Join us for the Boomers Rock Trail Masters hike along the H.S. Mountain Trail (1.7mi). This trail runs along the top of the mountain and is fairly easy but does have some modest uphill sections.

We will meet in the Parking lot beneath the Mountain tower.

Directions to the tower:

As you drive into Hot Springs from HSV, turn left by the Arlington Hotel onto Fountain St. Drive. Go about 800 ft and take a right. Follow the signs to the Mountain Tower parking lot directly under the tower.

All Boomers members are welcome to come along! We do ask that you register so that we know who is coming and who we should notify if there is a cancellation. If there is, you will receive an email at least one hour before the hike.

Hey Boomers! Let's go Bowling!

Please register in advance and indicate the number of games you wish to play (1, 2, or 3). Plan to be at Liberty Bowl ready to bowl by 1:45 so we can organize and start promptly at 2:00pm.

You will pay Liberty Bowl at the end of the event. Liberty Lanes is now charging us a flat $10/person rate for our event each month. That includes bowling 2-3 games and shoe rental if needed.

Attendance is limited to 30. If you register, then cannot make it, please let us know ASAP at by clicking here.

Boomers Texas 42 Dominoes (10/01/2026)

Texas 42 is a domino game for four players in two teams, where the goal is to be the first team to reach seven "marks" (250 points) by bidding and winning tricks, with points awarded for tricks and specific session dominoes. There are various strategies to winning. Each player brings $5 to ante to the pot.

Worst team wins $10 and winning team wins the remainder of the pot.

We play the first Thursday of the month.

For new players, a training session is MANDATORY before playing. It takes some time to develop your knowledge of the game, but that adds to the excitement of beating your opponents.

Parking is limited in front of the community center. Please do not park in front of a residence. Guest parking is available along the back of the building along Valencia Way with stairs that will take you up to the entrance.

Join us for the Boomers Rock Trail Masters hike on the DeSoto Recreational Trail.

We meet at the parking lot on the west side of Calella Rd (just north of DeSoto Blvd). We follow the golf course and head towards the DeSoto Golf Course Pro Shop. This walk will take us through a neighborhood, past the DeSoto Club, swimming pool, playground, and pickleball courts.

This is a fairly easy walk.

All Boomers members are welcome to come along! We do ask that you register so that we know who is coming and who we should notify if there is a weather delay. If there is a delay, you will receive an email one hour before the hike.

This event is exclusive to Boomers Rock members. Friendly dogs are welcome.

LUAU ON THE BEACH! ️

Grab your flip-flops and your favorite tropical shirt because Boomers Rock is heading to Balboa Beach for a Luau on the Beach!

Join us Sunday, October 11th from 5:00–8:00 PM for an evening of good friends, sandy feet, great food, music, and plenty of laughs! Be sure to still register so we can plan ahead for food!

FREE EVENT!!!!

We’ll have pulled pork sliders provided, and we’re asking everyone to bring a shareable side dish to round out our island-style feast. And don’t forget your favorite beverage because this event is BYOB!

Think you’ve still got the moves? We’ll put them to the test with a Hula Hoop Contest and Limbo Contest, plus plenty of music to keep the beach party going.

Tropical attire is encouraged, so break out those Hawaiian shirts, leis, grass skirts, and anything else that says island time!

Come hungry, come ready to have fun, and come spend a beautiful evening on the beach with your Boomers Rock friends!

Join your fellow Boomers for a hike along a central section of the Hernando Trail.

We will meet in the parking area by Grove Park. We will head east from there as the trail is mostly level.

We will walk for a total of 2 - 3 miles along this trail. As this trail is not a loop, we will walk about 1/2 hour east, turn around and walk back. Our hikes are easy to moderate, and our pace is casual.

Explorers - 35th Annual Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival (10/14/2026)

Let's explore the longest running documentary film festival in North America right in downtown Hot Springs! The festival itself runs Oct 9-17th. You can view the full schedule and purchase tickets online at Film Festival Registration.

I suggest Boomers meet Wednesday Oct 14 for the 1:30 and/or 5:30 Shorts Programs which will allow about an hour break to grab a bite to eat if you want to attend both.

We will meet in the upper lobby of the Arlington Hotel at 1:00 & 5:00 pm so we can mingle and get seated together before the shows begin. It is also possible to purchase tickets at the door. See ya there!

Please join us for Boomers Bingo Night. We will hold this exciting event at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church Lower Hall. Sign-ups start the first day of the month!

There will be no food served but you are encouraged to bring your own light snacks and choice of alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy.

The cost for this fun evening is $12. This includes 3 bingo cards for use for the evening. We will be using our finger-tip shutter slide bingo cards. The money collected from the purchase of bingo cards will be given back in cash prizes to the winners.

You must be registered to attend. NO ONE will be admitted at the door without a registration.

Please don't arrive before 6:00 pm unless you are a volunteer. We need time to get set up before people start coming in.

The entrance to the Lower Hall is on the North side of the church under the awning. Please enter through the doors on this level.

Please register early to reserved your spot. Only 150 members can attend.

This is a MEMBERS ONLY EVENT. Non-member guests are not allowed. If you have a friend who want to come, get them to join!

Join us for the Boomers Rock Trail Masters hike at the West Mountain at Whittington Park. This walk is just under 2 miles with mountain top views overlooking Hot Springs. It's an easy to moderate hike. The trail is great but there are a few inclines; nothing terribly steep or long (but we are on a mountain). Take Whittington Ave off Park - enter Whittington Park. Follow road till you see a sign for Summit - make a sharp right turn. Park in the first parking lot you come to (on the left). There is limited parking - carpooling is highly recommended.

Come enjoy a memorable day filled with spectacular scenery, great wineries, delicious food, and wonderful friends. It’s the perfect fall getaway with Boomers Rock!

Luxury Motorcoach will provide transportation from the East Gate Dollar General parking lot to Winslow and Altus. There we will hop back in time on a train ride through the Ozarks seeing spectacular fall scenery while enjoying a delicious box lunch.

Afterwards our bus will take us to 3 wineries for tastings; Post Winery, Mount Bethel and Wiederkehr Wine Cellar.

Once we have tasted a variety of wines, we will enjoy dinner at the Wiederkehr Restaurant.

Date: October 24 Arrival Time: 7:15am

Bus Departure: 7:45 SHARP Return: 9:30pm approximately

Pricing: Cost $195 per person

Seats are limited to 55 guests, so register early to reserve your spot!

Inclusions: Motorcoach/train transportation, snacks on the bus, lunch box and a beverage for the train, 3 wine tastings, and dinner at Wiederkehr Wine Cellar.

Dinner options are:

BACK HENDEL VIENNA - Two boned chicken breasts rolled in bread crumbs and herbs. Fried to a golden brown and topped with a special bearnaise sauce. Served with vegetable du jour and choice of potato.

SWISS SAUSAGE FEAST - Three grilled sausages; Knackwurst, Bratwurst and Smoked, with German potatoes and sauerkraut. Garnished with relish, Dusseldorf mustard and the finest horseradish. One of our most popular dishes. Served with sauerkraut and choice of potato.

CHICKEN FETTUCCINE ALFREDO - Creamy Alfredo sauce over fettuccine and chicken. A great dish from the Italian Swiss.

All items include hot bread

Choice of coffee, tea or soft drinks included. Alcoholic beverages and desserts are on an individual basis.

There will be plenty of room under the bus to bring back your favorite wines. Feel free to bring your favorite beverages and snacks for the bus ride.

Join us for the Boomers Rock Trail Masters hike on the Waypoint & DeSoto trails. We will meet in the parking lot by the Waypoint Marina.

We will hike the Waypoint Trail and then cross the bridge to the DeSoto trail. After about a mile, we will turn around and head back for total hike of about 3 miles - if you walk all the way to the end and back.

Like most Trail Masters hikes, these trails are easy and our pace will be casual.
