Come take a leisurely paddle with a fun group! We look out for one another so don't worry about being left behind.
If you need coaching, like we all did, on how to get in and out without dunking, we're there.
This season we'll paddle a different lake every Wednesday rotating through the list of lakes below in the order listed:
We always launch at the boat ramp area and oars in the water promptly at 9:00.
Please make sure to register so we know to expect you and bring your kayak, your paddle, safety equipment (life preserver and sunscreen), and your adventurous spirit!

BOOMERS GOLF
Save the Dates—Boomers Golf Scramble
Mark your calendars and get your clubs ready! Here are the upcoming dates for Boomers Rock Golf Scramble. Stay tuned for registration approximately one month in advance of date. Boomers Rock Golf Scramble is 9 holes of play and then a social hour after to give away prizes and get to know everyone. Registration will be on the Boomers Rock website. You will need to provide your average score on that course for 9 holes when registering.
Teams are made up of 4 with every team’s handicap about the same. Similar to last year, you can play with your spouse or friend. Limited to the first 60 golfers, so don’t wait to RSVP.
Let’s keep the energy high and make these rounds memorable. There’s a $5 fee for prizes, including closest to the pin holes for men and women. Participants pay $5 when registering online, and each person is responsible for the cost of their golf.
The rules: Each member of the foursome will have to have (1) drive per the 9 holes. Regardless of age, men will hit from the silver tees and women from the gold tees. There is a 2-putt max once you are on the green and we will not play out of sand traps this year.
When tee times are scheduled, you will receive an email confirmation from Central Tee Times stating the start time and the hole you will start on. If two are on a particular hole, it will state A or B beside the number.
PLEASE - contact Gary Cason if you have to cancel please do so at least 3 days in advance. Pairings are done in advance, so it slows down game start with no shows or late cancellations.

ENJOY YOUR GAME
This is a members only event.
Please join us for Boomers Bingo Night. We will hold this exciting event at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church Lower Hall. Sign-ups start the first day of the month!
There will be no food served but you are encouraged to bring your own light snacks and choice of alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy.
The cost for this fun evening is $12. This includes 3 bingo cards for use for the evening. We will be using our finger-tip shutter slide bingo cards. The money collected from the purchase of bingo cards will be given back in cash prizes to the winners.
You must be registered to attend. NO ONE will be admitted at the door without a registration.
Please don't arrive before 6:00 pm unless you are a volunteer. We need time to get set up before people start coming in.
The entrance to the Lower Hall is on the North side of the church under the awning. Please enter through the doors on this level.
Please register early to reserved your spot. Only 150 members can attend.
This is a MEMBERS ONLY EVENT. Non-member guests are not allowed. If you have a friend who want to come, get them to join!
Join your fellow Boomers on a hike on the Friendship Trail (Jessieville Ranger Station).
Located at the Jessieville Ranger Station - 7 Miles North from the West Gate - Left Hand side). Park in front of the Ranger Station, you will see the trail sign. This trail is an easy walk - mainly paved, through hardwood and pine trees, with fishing pond, bridges, pavilion and restroom. Trail is one mile long - so you can choose to walk it once, twice or even three times.
All Boomers members are welcome to come along! We do ask that you register below so that we know who is coming and who we should notify if there is a weather delay. If there, is you will receive an email one hour before the hike.
This event is exclusive to Boomers Rock members. Friendly dogs are welcome.

Please register in advance and indicate the number of games you wish to play (1, 2, or 3). Plan to be at Liberty Bowl ready to bowl by 1:45 so we can organize and start promptly at 2:00pm.
You will pay Liberty Bowl at the end of the event. Liberty Lanes is now charging us a flat $10/person rate for our event each month. That includes bowling 2-3 games and shoe rental if needed.

Bunco is a fun game that anyone can play. No skill is needed—just the desire to enjoy yourself and meet other fun people.
Each person is responsible for their food and drinks. The fee to play is $5.00 with prizes going to the person with the most wins, the person with the most losses, the person with the most Buncos and the person with the most baby buncos.
Come join the fun! The maximum number is limited so be sure to sign up as soon as you get the email.

Boomers Newcomers is a meal event designed for new members of Boomers Rock to meet and learn more about the organization and how to become more active.
It's attendance is limited to 30, to assure a get-to-know-you environment.
Each participant pays for his/her own meal. We will order off of the menu.
Show up upstairs at 5:30 for Cocktail hour. Dinner will 6ish.
I look forward to meeting new members. Bring your questions and plan on a fun night.
Class will be held each Thursday - come when you can and learn to line dance with confidence. A good time is guaranteed!

Join us for the Boomers Rock Trail Masters hike along the H.S. Mountain Trail (1.7mi). This trail runs along the top of the mountain and is fairly easy but does have some modest uphill sections.
We will meet in the Parking lot beneath the Mountain tower.
Directions to the tower:
As you drive into Hot Springs from HSV, turn left by the Arlington Hotel onto Fountain St. Drive. Go about 800 ft and take a right. Follow the signs to the Mountain Tower parking lot directly under the tower.

Texas 42 is a domino game for four players in two teams, where the goal is to be the first team to reach seven "marks" (250 points) by bidding and winning tricks, with points awarded for tricks and specific session dominoes. There are various strategies to winning. Each player brings $5 to ante to the pot.
Winning team gets the pot except for $10 which goes to the lowest scoring team.
We play the first Wednesday of the month at the Sunset Grill, 488 Ponce DeLeon Drive, from 1 to 4 PM.
For new players, it is required to receive instruction before playing. It takes some time to develop your knowledge of the game, but that adds to the excitement of beating your opponents.

THE GREAT BOOMERS HUNT 4pm
-Must have at least one digital cell phone with NEW APP (Scavvy) down-loaded for each team. We encourage everyone on the team to download the app, so that can assist in game play.
-App features missions, area with each mission with your pics, leaderboard, no time stamp needed last picture will be timestamped, app stops the event when time is up.
-One vehicle per team of 4, max of 5 players. That way we will have less cars on the road. The CAPTAIN only takes pics of each mission, but all can follow missions on their phones. Register as individuals, once you arrive your team captain will check-in your team. If you need a team, no problem, we will put individuals without team together at check-in.
-You will have 1:15 hours to complete the hunt—team with the most points wins a cash prize and bragging rights.
-Bring your team or we will put a team together for you.
FISH FRY & FUN — 6:30
Not interested in the game? No problem! You can still join us for an amazing all-you-can-eat catfish and chicken dinner while enjoying our favorite tunes on Boomers Rock Sound System.
The dinner will consist of catfish, chicken, hushpuppies, French fries, coleslaw, baked beans and tea.
Please bring beverages of your choice to enjoy. REGISTRATION WILL OPEN May 1st.\ ENDS MAY 27TH

Our amazing Boomers Captains will offer one 45 minute cruise of Balboa Lake. We will limit the number of passengers based on the number of Captains we have available. We will be doing signups differently this year. After you check-in, please go over to the boat ride signup table. This will enable you to sign up with your partners/friends, depending on space available. It will also give us a more accurate head count. Sign up early if you want to take a boat ride. First come first serve!
To help us assure a variety of potluck dishes, please bring a dish to share based on the first letter of your last name.
