Join your fellow Boomers for a hike along a central section of the Hernando Trail.
We will meet in the parking area by Grove Park. We will head east from there as the trail is mostly level.
We will walk for a total of 2 - 3 miles along this trail. As this trail is not a loop, we will walk about 1/2 hour east, turn around and walk back. Our hikes are easy to moderate, and our pace is casual.
Map of the trail can be found at:

Texas 42 is a domino game for four players in two teams, where the goal is to be the first team to reach seven "marks" (250 points) by bidding and winning tricks, with points awarded for tricks and specific sessiondominoes. There are various strategies to winning. Each player brings $5 to ante to the pot. Winning team wins 60%. Worst team wins 40% of the pot.
We play the first Wednesday of the month at the Desoto Club, from 1 to 4 PM.
For new players, a training session is MANDATORY before playing. It takes some time to develop your knowledge of the game, but that adds to the excitement of beating your opponents.
For new player instruction or more information, contact Walt Black at 512-983-2894, or waltblack100@gmail.com.
Registration required to determine the number of players and tables.

Come out to play like we did as kids, putting together our Lego creations (of course there will be a competition). The owners of this newest establishment have offered their facility to our group. They have bins and bins full of Legos that people can use for their creativity. We will be on 2 person teams and follow the directions of these innovative instructors. Perhaps we will use the zipline, perhaps we will play a game, perhaps we will use the car jump ramp. Whatever they ask, we will do as we turn on our imaginations.
Squeeze Box Pizza will be serving pizzas and adult beverages (for your purchase) so definitely bring your appetite.
Come out for this unusual night of adventure!! Free parking at the Hot Springs Bus Depot lot. You will see the store from there.
If you have any questions, please contact Becky Mueller (918) 397-3117

Lake Ouachita - Lookout.
We will meet at the Lake Ouachita Park by the Trail Head. (When in the Park - turn Left at Stop Sign and park at the Trail Head on your left.) We will then walk up the road to the Service Road.
This road goes through the center of the Peninsula, so we are not walking on the Caddo Bend Trail, we are walking parallel to it. The Service Road is mostly paved, flat and easy to walk on. It will take us to the Lookout - at which point we will have a very short walk on the Caddo Bend Trail to the Lookout.
The scenery is worth it. Total walk is about 2-1/2 miles.
All Boomers members are welcome to come along! We do ask that you register below so that we know who is coming and who we should notify if there is a weather delay. If there, is you will receive an email one hour before the hike.
For more information email Barbara Pels at barbpels@yahoo.com or call 817-304-2510.

We will meet in the parking lot ~100 yards west of Cortez road (past the Good Samaritan) off of Desoto Blvd. There is a sign on Desoto directing you where to park for the trail. We will hike west from this lot as this will avoid most of the hills.
We will walk for about 1 hour along this trail. As this trail is not a loop, we will walk west for 30 min., turn around and walk back. You can choose your own distance.
All Boomers members are welcome to come along! We do ask that you register so that we know who is coming and who we should notify if there is a weather delay. If there is, you will receive an email one hour before the hike.
